Location: Wiradjuri Country — Orange, New South Wales.

Dylan’s inspiration: The Wiradjuri Nation is the largest cultural footprint in NSW and second largest geographically in Australia. The People of Three Rivers have successfully lived here for sixty-thousand years, and I’ve visited several times with each experience being different from the other: culinary delights, colours in nature, landscapes, people and place. I wanted to pay homage to the original custodians of this beautiful part of our country by capturing the inspiring natural colours the area presents seasonally. This scene was also painted to represent the colonisation of the area with the first white house of commerce acting as the composition focal point — not in protest but to acknowledge a small part in history that led to this town becoming the vibrant destination it is today.

Carlene’s inspiration: There’s something about Orange that always grabs my attention, in that I only know it from afar yet remain so intrigued. Its unique and vivid natural landscape effortlessly frames quaint, historic buildings and it’s this sense of a bygone Australia era that really draws me in. I’m completely spellbound by the vibrancy of the trees and that bewitching southern sky. It’s on my list of regional towns to visit and I hope Dylan’s interpretation does the locals proud.

A collaboration between Left Bank Art Group Brand Ambassador, Carlene Duffy, and Northern New South Wales artist, Dylan Cooper; the Feels Like Home Collection draws its creative inspiration from nostalgic national glimpses reimagined for the modern day. The limited edition print collection depicts a series of iconic Australian scenes that truly capture the spirit of a shared social soul. The eight recognisable locations were handpicked by Carlene and Dylan as to their overall popularity and associated potential to connect with a broad Australian audience. Even if you’ve never lived in any of the locales, you know you’ve seen them somewhere, somehow, evoking an intuitive sense of familiarity — a family getaway way back when perhaps?

There are only 30 limited edition prints available for each size in our Feels Like Home Collection scene so order yours online now to secure an artistic slice of Australian history.
