We offer our wallpaper in a fixed width of 137cm with a minimum drop of 1m. This is in line with the commercial-grade wallpaper specifications as supplied to us. Unfortunately, we cannot provide it in half-width options. Thank you for understanding.

To accurately determine the amount of wallpaper you'll need, follow these steps:

STEP 1

A) Measure Wall Width

  • Measure the total width of the wall. For instance, if your wall is 450cm wide...

B) Determine Wallpaper Width

  • Check the width of the wallpaper roll you're considering, which in this example is 137cm.

C) Calculate Drops Needed

  • Divide the wall width by the wallpaper roll width: 450cm / 137cm = 3.28
  • Round this number up to the nearest whole number to get the number of drops. In this case, 3.28 rounds up to 4.
  • Result: You'll need 4 drops of wallpaper for a 450cm wide wall.

STEP 2

Estimating Pattern Repeats

A) Measure Wall Height

  • Measure the height of your wall. In this example, it's 248cm.

B) Check Pattern Vertical Repeat

  • Refer to the product specifications for the vertical repeat. In this case, Pattern A has a vertical repeat of 104.5cm.

C) Calculate Number of Repeats Needed

  • Divide wall height by vertical repeat: 248cm / 104.5cm = 2.38

D) Account for Pattern Type

  • If it's a half-drop pattern, round up to the nearest half-repeat. For example, 2.38 would round up to 2.5.
  • If it's a straight repeat pattern, round up to the nearest whole number. In this case, 2.38 would round up to 3.

STEP 4

A) Calculate Final Drop Length

  • Multiply the number of repeats needed by the vertical repeat of the design: In this scenario, the required drop length is calculated as 2.5 multiplied by 104.5, equating to 261.25cm, or rounded up, 262cm.

B) Final Meterage Calculation

  • To find the total meterage you'll need, multiply the number of drops (4) by the length of each drop (262cm). In this example, 4 drops x 262cm equals 10.48 meters of wallpaper required for the wall.
