thank you scan.
Artwork scanning is a unique service we provide, enabling artists to capture their original works in the highest resolution, allowing the best possible reproductions to be made through fine art printing.
Our German built flatbed scanner is the only one of its kind in Australia. With an extraordinary bed size of 1220 x 1778mm - it's built specifically for capturing the fine details in artwork at 600 pixels per inch. The different lighting options available on the scanner also mean we can capture flat or dimensional artworks with amazing detail.
By scanning your originals in at a true optical resolution of 600 pixels per inch, your artwork reproductions can be enlarged up to twice the size of the original. A quick word of warning: Most consumer scanners will claim to capture at 1200 or more pixels per inch, however, they use a method called 'interpolation' (stay with me) which is a process of adding additional pixels in to the file by the scanning software. You don't get true resolution using this method and the fine details are often lost. We don't interpolate!
The team at Left Bank Art Group have more than 10 years of experience in artwork scanning and reproduction. We capture artworks for everyone, whether thats for some of Australia's most prolific modern artists, or a hobbyist painter looking for a side-hustle.

The scans we receive from Left Bank Art Group are simply incredible. They pick up the texture of the canvas, paint and embellishments perfectly. My customers are in awe at the stunning quality and detail of the reproductions. Size and speed is no issue with even my 1.3 x 1.8m originals scanned quickly.

The sharpness is insane
In the past, I've used photography to capture my artwork and found this method to never quite pick up the fine details of the spray paint. Since discovering Left Bank in early 2020, I've continually been blown away by the superior detail their scanner captures. Every little drop is picked up and the sharpness is insane - the reproductions look just like the real thing.
